I am a singer/songwriter from Rio Rancho New Mexico. I got into singing and songwriting by accident you could say. When I was 13 years old my parents were divorced and I was living with my mother in Albuquerque NM. I went down one summer to visit my Dad and after the summer came I found myself not able to get a ride back to Albuquerque. I was a good kid for the most part but I was starting to get into trouble at school and hang out with the wrong crowds. My mother was a single mom raising two older brothers and myself. So she could not be around as much as she wanted.
So with me not able to return home in time for school registration my mom gave a suggestion of me starting school in this small town. I shuddered at the thought but in talking with my mom and my dad it seemed like it was the best solution for me and also to keep me out of trouble. My mom sent over my things and along with that she sent me her Guitar that her father had given her. At first I told her that I did not want it but I gave in and took it. Well I had no friends and only a dog that would howl when ever I sung. There was only one radio station and it only played country music. So I began teaching myself to play guitar and listen to all those songs on the radio. I soon taught myself to play and used CMT to see how the chords were supposed to look. I began writing my songs and got better and better. Funny thing was, the dog still howled with me when I sung those songs...lol only now he would nudge my leg when I stopped playing.
I began playing in bands and really found my calling. I found something that touched me personally and also something that introduced me to Girls!!! By my senior year in high school I was known as the guy with the guitar and the ladies loved me to sing to them. Now music is my life and song. I write songs that touch me personally and also songs that I know others can relate to. From a feel good tune to a twist your heart ballad. I love them all. I love to get together with friends and family. Also always enjoy a good jam session with other musicians! One day I hope to do this professionally. But until then I will continue to have fun doing what I love and enjoy friends, family and any fans! This is a great Journey I am on and I am happy to take anyone with me who wants to come along!
