Reckless Revival

Detroit rockers Reckless Revival are back with their brand new EP, Straight, no chaser. And right from the get go, the record is a revved up collection of musings on the ins and outs of the daily grind.

Complete with a healthy amount of distortion and the nostalgic 90s power rock sound of lead vocalist Vince Lauro, Straight, no chaser seems to throw the listener right into the middle of band practice. It feels like a meeting of sorts, allowing each member to hash out their own experience in a fury of fuzz and reverie that culminates in a swirling roadside symphony.

It’s relatable and it’s full, brimming with high energy riffs and nods to the world outside our front door, and how we agree to confront them the minute we open up.

Formed in 2018 in metro Detroit, a city with a rich musical legacy, Reckless Revival consists of members Vince Lauro (guitar/vocals), Nick Grassi, (bass/vocals), Shawn “Lurch” McDade (guitar), and Jeremy Andary (drums). Together, they are part of the “revival” of the great city of Detroit, drawing influences from some of the city’s musical greats. Reckless Revival is unapologetic and authentically pays tribute to the rock n roll noise of the past, while adding on their own flare.
