"About "Congratulations on Your Decision to Become a Pilot""

From the super-grungey first track, "When We Were Kids We Built A Treehouse From Our Neighbor's Window And If You Get Far Enough Away It Looks Like A Giant Eyeball" to the epic seven-minute closing track "Congratulations On Your Decision To Become A Pilot" (featuring the memorable chorus, "Congratulations on your decision to become a pilot/To become a pilot" repeated endlessly), this album was nearly flawless. There's even an oboe in one song! It's still one of my favorite albums to this day.

"About "Congratulations on Your Decision to Become a Pilot""

“…potential greatness. For a band that only formed in August of 1999 and has already experienced a lineup change, this is some pretty impressive material. Most other groups don't get this much right by their third album.”
-Pitchfork. Score: 8.2 - Pitchfork

"About "The Willis""

Bathtub, Light Bulb, Heart Attack rocks viciously, presenting its nerdish sentiments as unapologetic slabs of arty punk, like some mutant melding of XTC and X.
-Darryl Smyers – The Dallas Observer - The Dallas Observer

"About "The Willis""

…an awesome amalgamation of rock and atmospheric music...The Willis write ingenious, tight songs that could easily hook you in no time.
