Regional Garland and Shelly Eldridge Biography

Regional Garland was born in Flint, Michigan, to Iola Watkins and Edward Garland. After graduating from high school, he went to work for GM and also worked part time for a local record company.
Reggie started singing when he was 6 years old, and by age 11, he was singing with "the pros", performing with artists such as James Brown, Martha and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, the Chantells, the Edsells, Freddie Cannon, Bobby Lewis and many others. He recorded his first record on the Tri City Record label, which charted #17 on the local Charts. Reggie plays guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. He was the lead singing of the group "Mixed Sugar", and has sung with many groups as lead and as backup singer. He recorded the songs "Im Falling in Love" (Vann&Reggie), "Love Talk" (The Symbolics), "I Need Love" (the 21st Generation), "Girl You Better Hurry" (The Perfections), "Its a Bad Feeling" (Mixed Sugar) and "Chillin' Out" (Brilliance). He also wrote, arranged and produced them. Reggie has a writers credit on a song for P. Diddy and Mary J. Blige

Shelly Eldridge was born in Flint Michigan to Sally and Thomas Douglass. She is a gifted soprano with a great passion for music and she desires to be heard world wide. Shelly recorded for Tonya Tucker and was showcased at Gillies in Nashville Tennessee. She sang with the group "In To Deep" which toured Michigan and South Carolina club circuit. Shelly Sang at many corporate events for General Motors, UAW, and Downtown Flint Riverfront concerts. She was a later member of the group "Regional Garland/Mixed Sugar". In September of 2012, Regional and Shelly formed a duet group and recorded the album, "Songs Of Praise"
