Bio

Rob Adler is a NYC based classical guitarist, composer and engraver. Praised for his “delicate intricacies“, Rob has performed all across New York. Some past performances include recitals at Manhattan’s National Opera Center, performances at the SUNY-Purchase Guitarathon, and he has performed with the New York City based One World Symphony as a featured soloist  multiple times and as principal guitarist since 2014. He received a Masters in Classical Guitar Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and his Bachelor of Music with emphasis in Recording Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. While in Wisconsin he performed with the Oshkosh Water City Chamber Orchestra as Principal Guitarist and received a grant that allowed him to create an award-winning guitar method book, Classical Guitar for Electric Guitarists

In addition to performing, Rob loves to teach, compose, arrange, engrave and record music. Several of Rob’s arrangements and transcriptions have been published by Make Music, Inc., the world leader in music engraving software. His arrangement of Carlos de Seixas’ Fugue in A minor was selected as a finalist for the 2014 Seconda Prattica International Arrangement Competition for Classical Guitar.

Rob is one of the few registered Suzuki guitar instructors in Manhattan and maintains an active teaching schedule. He currently serves as the Suzuki Guitar Program Director at NYC Guitar School, the largest Suzuki Guitar program in New York City.
