About Rob Michael & The Atmos Trio

Lead by "That Jazz Guitar Guy on the Internet" Rob Michael, the group's sound is not that of the average guitar trio jazz band. While they may very well play a standard from "The Great American Songbook," it is always a fresh, inventive and sonically rich experience. The tones, texture and interplay among the players is what set's the Atmos Trio apart.

Joining Rob is Atmos Trio co-founder Joe Shotwell on drums and percussion. Known nationally for his recordings and tours with latin world fusion group Incendio, Joe is a rhythmic force of nature who blows audiences away on the drumset, cajon or simply clapping his hands.

On bass, from Sonoma is Cliff Hugo. When he's not out touring being an international rockstar with SuperTramp or playing recording sessions in LA, he fulfills an amazing role in Atmos Trio. His time, harmonic concept and great solos fill out the groups sound such that it seems unbelievable that only three musicians are playing.

Atmos Trio innovates in their business model a well. While so much of the music industry seems to be hoarding way their music worried about piracy, they welcome fans and curious to listen, download and share their music and "Pay what You Want (even nothing)" a their online store.
