Houston-native singer-songwriter, Rob V is on a mission to breathe life back into classic R&B music with his first album, Don’t Take Your Love Away (DTYLA). His smooth up-tempo tones, brewing lyrics and melodies compliment his stylish vocal range. He frequents the classic sounds of R&B and its distinctive compositions to define his smooth yet powerful authentic ballads throughout the entire album. Rob V has taken his passion for music and revitalized the traditional rhythm and blues ballads by mixing in his sweet harmonies.
Rob V is a progressive artist emerging into the national spotlight, taking pride as a singer, songwriter, producer, musician and entertainer. He embraces the traditional R&B values as well as incorporating contemporary R&B and Pop. His journey of potent lyrics and melodies deliver pulsating songs such as, Right Now, or the soothing soul-tingling hooks of Sex and the feel good catchy tones of, Don’t Take Your Love Away (DTYLA). Born on April 11, 1980, given the name Robert Vieyra Jr, this Mexican-American R&B vocalist is known for his smooth voice and boy-next-door charm. Rob V acquired the rare ability to have music run in his blood and captivate his soul. Throughout his years singing in the hallways of Westfield High School and into adult-hood, Rob V has consistently emerged himself in the music industry by creating life-long friendships such as artist Brian Angel from American male R&B group Day 26. Artist and groups such as Dru Hill, Boys II Men, Jodeci, Tyrese, and Frankie J ignited his interest in music.

By receiving a degree in audio engineering, Rob V has continued to develop his craft within music. His new flavors to a classic genre, seductive melodies and vocal abilities which mimic the reminiscing throwback sounds of groups such as All 4 One, and Jagged Edge have earned him substantial coverage throughout the R&B Genre.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Some of the struggles that I have identified with, including finding the right team to understand my vision and building a supportive fanbase. With certain genres, it is difficult to find a collective amount of songwriters and producers to recreate the authentic RnB style.

My company Robvmusic specializing in recording, songwriting and producing music. My company is known for vocal arranging and studio engineering. This brand strives to set higher standards, to be a better version of what you expect. This brand doesn’t settle for mediocrity.

What I am most proud of about my company is that we are versatile.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define my success by making a positive impact with my music on a generation. Defining success would be having your brand known worldwide. Having longevity in the entertainment business would be defining success.

Selling millions of records, winning a Grammy, selling out arenas and becoming a household name would also be success to me.
