Bio

Recording artists Salter, a "Michigan Rock Band" as they've come to label themselves, consists of four musicians that together create intensity on Michigan stages - and now on their first ever release Revolution. Initial reactions to Revolution have been of astonishment. "Must hear" is the phrase being heard.

Revolution, the debut album from Salter...a band of Michigan Rockers from north of Detroit...progresses from riff laden rockers such as Do You Feel and Forest Floor, to the message of the title track Revolution. After this initial barrage, the band launches into one radio-ready-rocker after another with Saline, She'll Be Back, Strip You Bare, and Fear The Sky. If that weren't enough, Salter continues with the ethereally moving Soldier On. This is not a Test, and April in the D (dedicated to the band's beloved Detroit) close out this amazing first effort by Salter.

The band's history begins in June 2011, when solo performing artist Kenneth Pops Jones contacted guitarist Steve Salter through a musician finder site. The two discovered that they played together as if theyd been doing so for years and it was soon apparent that assembling an entire band was the obvious next move. After a short search, drummer Brian Whitcomb joined - having just left a popular blues act. He soon convinced long-time friend and bassist Cary Touchette to come check out the sound that was developing.

The effect of combining Touchette, Whitcomb, Jones, and Salter was immediately felt by all four. Now it is felt by rock audiences that are consistently astonished with the intensity of the Salter band. The word most often heard at a Salter show is awesome. SALTER has performed regular shows in the Michigan area since their inception.

SALTER entered the studio in April 2013 to begin the Revolution project, which was recorded and mixed at Zig Productions in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The album has been released to audiences that are marveling at the variety of styles and the versatility so uncommon in debut albums.

SALTER will be announcing tour plans later this year in support of Revolution.
