"It isn't a problem unless there's a solution." - these aren't my words, I watched "Up in the Air" last night. This was one of the lines that got caught in my gears. Claire and I have both moved into our new live, work and play spaces. I'm in the quiet country side- still an easy drive to Claire in the heart of New York City. Not a Brooklyn girl anymore, you can find Claire out and about in Manhattan's upper east side! Stop in and say hi at the Met too. Claire is busy at home, and I am busy here in Bern. I am living in an old chapel that has been converted into a concert hall which I have now converted into the recording space for my solo record Empty Houses. With a Steinway grand at my disposal on the concert stage, writing has been an incredibly exhilirating experience this summer. I literally left NYC at the perfect moment. It had gone from rainy to sunny spring weather just 3 days before I left, with more rain in the forecast to arrive after I departed from Newark. Elated, I left for Switzerland having no idea what season it would resemble once I landed. When I was 20 I was given the unique and wonderful opportunity of working as a music teacher in Haiti's Port au Prince. I had a most wonderful experience with the children and staff, and enjoyed my work and travels there very much.
