Bio

Sean Dirty is an up-in-coming rapper from Houston Texas.  He finds time to write songs, record, and perform live all while supporting his family through his welding career.  Mainly focusing on hip-hop, Sean also has a strong background in punk rock and playing guitar.  His authentic lyrics paint the picture of his life, and he has been viewed as one of the most honest and vulnerable artists coming up.  Sean D puts on an energetic live performance with just the right amount of crowd participation to keep the audience excited. And they keep coming back.  Most fans say that Sean sounds like Drake, but a few have mentioned J cole and Curren$y as well.

Sean grew up in a suburban neighborhood just outside of Houston. His mother was diagnosed with MS right after he was born.  This was difficult, but it also gave his mother the opportunity to start one of the first independent internet radio stations OutboundMusic. Growing up around the music industry, Sean D was always drawn to hip-hop.  He attributes his start in the genre to a friend from second grade, D'angelo Hall aka Freedom Freemason, who gave him the album "Harlem World" by Ma$e on the school bus. Sean experienced tragedy at a young age when family members and friends became victims in gang related homicides. He had some ups and downs before he learned how to cope with and escape the trauma through prayer and music.  He eventually linked up with a local rap group "Yellow-Tape", and volunteered as part of their street team.  This introduced Sean to a producer named Riskofunk, who eventually produced Dirty's first project "Cotton-Candy Swordfish".

Sean Dirty has Performed with Michael Watts, and has opened up for ESG, Big Pokey, Paul Wall, Tyte Eyes, K-rino, Lil Wyte, and Project Pat.  Sean loves to perform; however, his favorite performance was the "No Shoot Zone" benefit in Amity Park Houston.  This was a community coming together to stop violence in the Southwest part of the city, and this event really made an impact on Sean (as a person and a rapper).

Sean D is currently working on a 6 song collaboration project with $tack Junkie, "$tack-n-Dirty" and a 10 song solo project, "Copperfield Dreams".  Dirty is also headlining a concert with Paul Wall and Michael Watts on March 7, 2020 at BFE Rock Club in Houston. Sean lives by a motto... God, family, grind... in that order.  His goal is to continue creating honest music people can relate to.
