"Big Machine Records Introduces Seth Alley"

Nashville, TN (November 17, 2014) – BIG MACHINE RECORDS introduces SETH ALLEY today with the release of his self-titled EP on iTunes. The digital debut is available now and coincides with Seth joining the artist roster, which includes record-breaking international phenomenon Taylor Swift, superstars Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts, buzz-worthy band The Cadillac Three and quintessential talent Danielle Bradbery in addition to soundtracks for NASHVILLE.

With a refreshing sincerity stemming from personal experiences, Seth has been previewing new music at radio stations across the country over the last few weeks and offering a glimpse into his reality through videos on VEVO. He is building fans city by city and chronicling the journey on Instagram with #SethAlleyRadioTour.

The Sparta, TN native, who moved to Nashville in 2012 to focus on his music, felt the transition was a natural progression from practicing in a shed throughout his cover band days. The singer/songwriter’s candor first caught the attention of producer BILL MCDERMOTT, who then introduced Seth to well-known manager CLARENCE SPALDING (Rascal Flatts, Kix Brooks and Jason Aldean). With a solid team behind him, the 25-year-old talent has crafted a catalogue rooted in genuine observations and diverse influences. Drawing inspiration from his family, friends and small-town childhood adventures, Seth cites a varied list of musical idols that includes Johnny Cash, Dave Matthews Band and Citizen Cope.

Seth Alley EP Tracklisting:
1. “Me and The Boys” (Seth Alley, Sherrie Austin, Frank Maroney)
2. “Waiting On Mary” (Seth Alley, Sherrie Austin, Will Rambeaux)
3. “Things We Don’t Talk About” (Seth Alley, Sherrie Austin, Will Rambeaux)
4. “White Dress” (Seth Alley, Sherrie Austin, Will Rambeaux)

"Seth Alley Makes Impressive Grand Ole Opry Debut"

NASHVILLE, TN (September 14, 2015) – SETH ALLEY beamed from the prestigious circle that so many icons have stood on, taking the stage for his Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday night (9/12). Legendary Opry member Bill Anderson introduced the Sparta, TN native, sharing a bit of trivia with the crowd: Seth is the great, great nephew of fellow Opry member Benny Martin. Guitar in hand, Seth endeared himself to the audience, performing the honest and raw "Waitin’ On Mary” and “Things We Don’t Talk About."

“I grew up about an hour and a half away and I always dreamt of doing music for a living. My grandfather would say, ‘Wake up boy you ain’t playing the Opry any time soon.’ Now he’s sitting back here behind me – what do you think of this, Pa?” laughed Seth. “It is really a dream come true for me to be up here on this stage."

Family and friends chuckled from the onstage pews as they watched the redheaded crooner belt lyrics he’s lived for the Opry audience. Seth is currently in the studio with Dann Huff working on his full release for Big Machine Records.

Earlier this month, Seth opened for Dwight Yoakam during a sold-out show at The Ryman Auditorium. A few days later he performed at The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s Fourth Annual Nightfall at the Hall event alongside fellow Country newcomers Levi Hummon and Canaan Smith.

"Rain couldn't stop fans from partying at the FarmBorough Festival"

The Next From Nashville tent featured some of country music's rising acts, and alternative country artist Seth Alley had the rough draw of the card with being the first act to perform at 2:50 p.m. The tent was mostly empty (save for a handful of people), but the artist, who signed with Taylor Swift's label Big Machine Records last year, played as if he were performing in front of 10,000 screaming fans. His short set featured material from his latest self-titled EP, but in the middle of his set, he managed to get the crowd moving during a medley of Katy Perry tunes. - AXS.com

"Top 5 Performances of Lake Shake day 2"

Although Seth Alley might not be a household country name yet, his label, Big Machine Records, is. It’s easy to see why a big name grabbed the opportunity to work with and develop Alley while they can. His vocals are like a well-tuned classical instrument. He’s one of the most impressive artists to grace that stage and it’s clear he won’t be spending much time away from main stage for long. Everything from his stellar vocals, to commanding stage presence is the definition of up and coming. Along with his humble nature that showed he’s happy to be performing on any stage and clearly enjoys his work. Country fans should keep an eye on Alley and watch the journey from next from Nashville as his career speeds ahead and takes off. - AXS.com

Bio

Seth Alley - Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller.

I'm the oldest of three kids. I grew up in the small east Tennessee town of Sparta. I like to tell stories.

As long as I can remember I've liked to tell them, and so I guess becoming a songwriter was logical. Every song I write is like a chapter from a book...they are stories for you and truths for me.

I never write a song just to write a song. They paint a true and vivid picture of what my life is or was like. My goal when writing is to make people feel something - I want them to think. My stories, and thus my songs, come from observation, lessons, love and dreams.

I picked up the guitar at the age of thirteen and formed my first band at fourteen. With over 1,000 shows under my belt, the next step was to go after my true dream of becoming a professional artist...so off to Music City I went. I started making trips back and forth to Nashville at the end of 2012, and it was on that first trip I met Bill McDermott, who would end up being my producer. Bill introduced me to Jody Williams at BMI, who helped me land a publishing deal with Sony ATV and management with Spalding Entertainment (home to Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn, and Terri Clark.) Literally a few weeks later, I was signing a record deal with Big Machine Records.

That was June of 2014. You can say life is pretty awesome right now...
