Seven: That’s a name that has stuck with me since back in the days, back when I was in school and in the streets, the “get high” days. I stuck with it and I brought it up when I started rapping and DJ’ing. It’s been with me throughout the years and it’s always been my lucky number. My favorite year and car is a ’57 Chevy so I always just adapted to that number [Seven].

Seven: I hooked up with LRT at a dub car show in Los Angeles through some people, another group; one of the artists that I deal with named Redwood, some of his people hooked us up with Lisa from LRT. We connected and we were vibing together. I went up there, we had a meeting and I shot them some demo CD’s and I ended up building a good relationship with Lisa who is the CEO/President of LRT. It actually started off with her managing me, after we inked an artist deal through her and a label distribution deal for my indie label Hellafyde Records. That’s how the relationship began. I’ve been with LRT for about two years now and the relationship with her is going really good.

We’re pushing the single “Life Ain’t Easy” right now off my mixtape/street album “Public Enemy” and getting ready to drop my first release through LRT/InGrooves/Universal which will be the “Smooth Criminal” album, dropping hopefully by the end of the summer.

He had a couple songs I would love to cruise to, in the classic cars, I do the Lowrider thing out here in Los Angeles, and music has always been a big part of the Lowrider culture. My image has always been that of a real hard thug, street image. On the “Smooth Criminal” album, I’m doing more of a mixture of hip hop and R&B. it’s a mix of smooth rap and R&B so I decided that the “Smooth Criminal” title fits the music well. It works with the image. We’re doing more of a suit type, grown up, upscale image for it and push the whole “Smooth Criminal”, with a James Bond 007type of theme.
