Solid

The name is Ramone Jay, but back in the day I used to go by YoungSolid. Not only because I´m the youngest of all my brothers & sisters. But also because no matter what has happened in life, I have always tried my hardest to stay true to myself. Which is why after a while, I took off the ¨Young¨ and just started going by #Solid. I know a lot of people may claim to be #Solid. But I´ll tell you one thing, if you fold underneath pressure then I guess in all reality you ARE NOT SOLID. I started to go by that name not to feel like I am better then anyone. But because I use it as a way to label myself and the mindset I have been clinging on to since my brother Jason Kenneth Cook was murdered when I was 13 years old while he was in East Lansing. He was also a underground independent & I still remember watching him every day just trying to figure out what he was going to next. In my mind or in my opinion, being "Solid" isn´t about popularity or having "clout". In my eyes being "Solid" is a mindset and a lifestyle. In my eyes, its more then just a title, its like Hakuna Matata. Its a problem free philosophy that I personally use to keep myself in check so that I am not wasting my time by not staying consistent & not moving towards my goals while moving closer to my achievements I have set for myself.  But hey, don´t take my word, how about you do me a #Solid and check out my music
