Bio
Spiffy Wilds was born Shaquil Jackson on April 2, 1994 to Tanya Jackson at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Spiffy started writing music when he was just seven years old. Music became a way for him to focus and channel his energy. As he grew, he surrounded himself with other artists, and music became a more integral part of his life. As a small child Spiffy had a relatively comfortable upbringing, but the turmoil of adolescence would soon set in. With the death of his sister Markeesha in 2008, and his mother becoming unemployed, music became the only way he could express his frustration and pain. In order to make ends meet, he shared a two-bedroom apartment with his mother, aunt, and grandmother. With the walls literally closing in around him, he witnessed his father and older brother become incarcerated. It was during this time he realized music was the only way to make a better life for himself and the people he loved. The artists that helped shape Spiffy into the unbridled entertainer he would become were DMX, Ludacris, 2Pac, The Notorious BIG, Jeezy, Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar. There is an ever growing roster of notable artists Spiffy has shared a stage with that includes Fetty Wap, Problem, Tink, OG Maco, Young Dro, Caskey, and MN Fats. Spiffy released his first mixtape at sixteen which was called “PASS ME CHUCKS,” followed by "JUICE LIKE STEEL", “THE SESSION”, and "SOME OF EVERYTHING”. His latest project is titled "THIS TIME LAST YEAR" with production from Ouu Taylor Made, Shaun Nett, and Zaytovon.
