Miami’s own Urban Merengue Artist Steven Diamante has been nominated by the International Music and Entertainment Association (IMEA) for Latin Artist of the Year in their 2014 Awards program.
The IMEA Awards are presented by the International Music and Entertainment Association and were developed to recognize the best artists in independent music and theatre internationally.
It is a blessing to be nominated for Latin Artist of the Year at the IMEA Awards, specially along with another Cuban singer like me, tha is Carlos Manuel said Steven Diamante. It has been tough, it was a team effort, from the songs to the production. My Producction team Loi y Fercho Dj Criss along with my Music mentor Andy Aguilera, and I, would be celebrating this nomination with friends, family and every fan who supported my journey as an artist.
We are excited to have artists like Steven as a member of the International Music and Entertainment Association”. said Colt D. Chambers, president, IMEA. Artists like him are setting the standards for the industry and I look forward to following him on his future endeavors.
The awards ceremony and red carpet event will be held on October 4, 2014 at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Award winners are selected through a combination of voting by entertainment-industry professionals, IMEA members and fans.

Steven Diamantes songs have received airplay on more than 50 country and Online Latin radio stations internationally, reaching Top 20 chart positions in and Europe.

Mi nombre es Esteban Lomonte Jr Naci en Havana, Cuba. Llegue a la ciudad de Miami, Fl en el 1990.Desde pequeño aunque estuve más envuelto en los deportes, siempre tuve la música por dentro, me dormia escuchando música de un radio Viejo de mi abuela. Mi carrera profesional en la música comienza en el 2001 ya que mis sueños de jugar Beisbol no pudieron ser, me interese en el genero de la bachata y llegue hacer percurcionista del cantante y compositor Andy Aguilera. En el año 2007, después de haber estados varios años como percurcionista decidi formar un grupo llamado El Grupo Diamante. Este grupo fue el que me dió comienzo a mi carrera como cantante. En el 2009 decido unirme a Andy Aguilera, pero esta vez como corista y comparti hasta el 2011, que se me presenta una oportunidad única con el grupo ‘Fulanito’ formando parte de una gira por Europa y Latinoamérica. Para el 2012 decido lanzárme como solista y lanze mi primer sencillo “Baby Cuéntale”.
