""Syndicate19 Drummer Wins Maine, Heads for Massachusetts" - SVETLANA"

Those who saw Leavitt playing at the South Portland store preliminaries and store finals a few weeks ago could witness his diverse and powerful drum solos. With only 5 minutes to set up and 3 minutes to perform, Leavitt had the audience’s attention captured from the second his drumsticks hit the drums. - SVETLANA - The Weekly Sentinel

""Syndicate19 is a mainstream sound, fabricated from the soul." - Billy McDaniel"

Syndicate 19 is a mainstream sound, fabricated from the soul. You can tell that the band’s approach to writing is well-crafted, and heart-felt. It almost reminds me of the mentality of bands of the 70’s, who put more emphasis on the mood of the music, and the dynamics that bring the listener on a journey of emotions throughout each of the songs.

Since I have actually seen the band before, and have spent some time listening to their mp3s on myspace, I was a little bit familiar with their material. I couldn’t quite remember the words, but I did remember the melodies, and so I found myself humming along. I heard someone ask me if this band was on the radio, cuz they thought they had heard the song before. All I could say in response was… “I don’t know, but if they aren’t, they should be!” - Billy McDaniel - Mainelist

Bio

Mix "Pink Floyd" with, "The Talking Heads", "Dave Matthews Band", "Mumford and Sons", "Tool" and "Steppenwolf" and you have Syndicate19. Through their diversity and depth, Syndicate19 engages a detached generation that is skeptically looking for something to believe in… something more. Their music reflects on the state of the world, society, government, relationships, spirituality, media, money, technology and cultural disconnectedness. Their eclectic nature and deeper messages resonate with many. Syndicate19 has been playing in and around Portland, Maine with occasional trips to Boston since 2006. In 2010 they decided to stop gigging and refocus there efforts. Since then they have reformed as a 5 piece rock band and have recorded a 5 song EP to be released spring of 2013 with shows to follow.
