The Burress Family

For many years “The Burress Family” has carried the gospel of Jesus Christ to many, many people across this great country through singing, but with Tom accepting his calling to preach in June of 2002, the devil has got to worry twice as much about The Burress Family!! Tom preaches holiness, the old fashion way. “We have watched in awe as God has performed some of the most awesome miracles that we have ever seen”! Open blinded eyes! Open deaf ears! Cause the cripple to walk again! See numerous drug addicts, alcoholics, and sinners set free through the power of the “blood” of Jesus Christ!! “PRAISE GOD”!! Playing and singing for the Lord is all Tom & Vonda have ever known. Tom started playing several different instruments and singing at about the age of 8 years old. God started giving Tom the talent of songwriting at about the age of 9. Although Tom strayed away from the Lord and started experimenting in drugs and alcohol, the Lord delivered him and set him free from all his addictions. And what a testimony that Tom now has!!!*

Tom has written over a “1,000 songs" in his 30 plus years of songwriting and he writes every song that The Burress Family sings and records. Other artists that have recorded his songs are: The Cooke Brothers. The Gems, Ken Holloway, Hunter Erwin, Faithful Crossing, Steven Scott, Tommy Moseley and many, many more.

Vonda learned to play the organ and sing at about the age of 6, and about 5 years later, began to play the piano. Her powerful and anointed voice has been compared to Chris Freeman and the late and great Vestal Goodman. Tom & Vonda have recorded 6 projects.

In April 2005, their daughter Amber started singing and traveling the country with her mom and dad and she has been such a blessing and an inspiration to so many folks young and old alike everywhere that they travel. Her angelic voice has blessed thousands of folks and has caused many people to get saved!

The Burress Family” has had several charting songs on such national charts as The Singing News, Gospel Music News, The Christian Voice, Powersource, CGC Top 100, and many other national charts!! The Burress Family has just released their brand new cd "Young Man from the Old School" and many well known people in the music buisness is calling this one of the best cd's that they have heard in some time!
