"The Thieves at Webster Hall"

Opening for The Ludlow Thieves were the explosive Cosmic Coronas, fronted by Alexa Corona and Tom, who doubled as an MC. The electric guitar whined and the drums hit hard as they launched into power anthem after power anthem, upping the energy in the room until it felt like it might spill over. Ranging in age from 20- to 40-something, it was clear from the very beginning that a band like this one doesn’t come along every day. Each song built upon the last, showcasing their talents and convincing us that they were a force to be reckoned with. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, they closed out their set with back-to-back covers of AC/DC‘s “Back in Black” and The White Stripes‘ “Seven Nation Army”, outdoing themselves entirely. The Cosmic Coronas aren’t headlining Webster Hall yet, but from the looks of it they’re not far away. - Surviving the Golden Age

Best Campground Neighbors: Four NYC Dudes

A few buddies from New York City recently piled into a rented RV and crossed the country, stopping to let loose in Chicago, Montana’s Yosemite and Glacier National Parks, and, finally, to see their favorite bands at Sasquatch Fest. They’re in a band, too -- check out the Cosmic Coronas, who strummed Sublime’s “What I Got” and held impromptu jam sessions with musically-inclined passersby in the campgrounds. There was never a dull, music-less moment. And on Tuesday morning, when our car battery was discovered dead, the guys provided a jump. Now those are good festy vibez. - Billboard Magazine

Bio

They didn't know it at the time,
but for years the members of The Cosmic Coronas were on an inevitable
collision course toward the creation of the ultimate rock, punk and funk
musical experience.

The brilliance of the Cosmic Coronas is the
result of a mashup between The Fabulous Rhinos and The SuffTown Traffic
Jam. The Rhinos were founded by Brad Widolok, Noah Nielsen, Kevin
Gayson and Tom Taubes in the winter of 2014 after a number of successful
jams in New York City’s Euphoria Studios. Brad’s thick guitar leads
layered on top of Noah’s overdriven grooves and Kevin’s smooth acoustic
accompaniment formed the ideal foundation for a powerful band.  Brad and
Noah immediately went to work writing original songs that built upon
the classic sounds of their favorite artists of the 60s, 70s, 80s and
90s to bring rock and roll into the 21st  Century.

The Rhinos
expanded its sound by adding Dan Raiani on bass guitar and Nick
Brucaliere on drums--two friends from Suffern, New York who have been
performing together for over a decade in a dynamic duo known as the
Sufftown Traffic Jam.  Dan and Nick brought a technical proficiency and a
steady rhythm to anchor the newly formed Cosmic Coronas and expand the
possibility of their frequent jams.

When the time came to take
The Cosmic Coronas to the next level, Dan and Nick reached out to
another SuffTown native, Alexa Lindberg, who they knew had the powerful
pipes to round out this formidable ensemble. From the first moment Alexa
sang with the Coronas, it was obvious that she was the final piece to
the puzzle.

The Cosmic Coronas, being fans of The Ramones,
decided to drop their birth-given surnames and embrace the sonic
spirituality of becoming a Corona. Since then, Alexa Corona, Brad
Corona, Dan Corona, Kevin Corona, Nick Corona and Noah Corona have been
building a loyal following called Corona Nation.

Drawing from
the bandmates' varied influences like Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Red Hot
Chili Peppers, Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen, and propelled by
Alexa’s vintage, soulful vocals, The Cosmic Coronas released a
self-titled EP in 2016 and are setting out on a tour in the fall of
2016.
