Brit and Peter, from two different worlds came together in life and in music. Brit, from Verdal Norway, and Peter, from Nashville Tennessee. Peter and Brit met through country music, then Peter spent a good part of 2016 in Norway with Brit. They began singing and recording and the result was The Cowboy & The Viking. Presenting special and quality country music written by Peter, this Nashville country couple has already been gaining attention and a growing fan base with listeners. From true original country ballads to some country-rock, two-steppers, and country dance songs, the music is getting heard more and spreading. The Cowboy & The Viking are truly one of those rare and real country couples.
Peter is an award winning songwriter, winning best country song of 2016 in the Akademia Music Awards with his song "That's Real Close". Peter has also played with the Neville Brothers, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and played the coveted Grand Junction Parade of lights to over 10,000 people in Colorado. Also, Peter topped the German Super Country 10 charts with his hit "Blue Jeans, High Heel's & Fire Red Hair" for 12 weeks in a row.
Brit, previously a country music festival promoter in Sweden has also written her own songs including "Good Morning Nashville" and "Lost Love and Broken Hearts" which topped the charts in Scandinavia. In addition, Brit has had bands in Noway and been performing at various venues and country music festivals in Sweden. Brit continued in music, recording her CD in Nashville in 2005, and Brit's talent is clear with her unique voice she has many fans in Scandinavia and around the world.
Peter and Brit coming together in life and in music is a mixture of the best of both worlds in country music, staying true to the feel and emotion that is country music and their life together has spawned the next true country couple.
