The Dead Are Living are a post-hardcore band from Brooklyn, New York formed in 2014 by vocalist Ashton McDaniel. The band went through various lineup changes before solidifying their lineup in 2017 with Frank Dormani and Ben Jeppesen on guitar,l and Mikael Kachanovsky on bass. Their music blends opera like-theatrics with metalcore breakdowns and harsh narrative lyrics with songs that bounce back and forth between crushing guitar riffs and orchestral interludes. Their debut Ep “Bathory” will be released in mid 2018.
