At 24, D.J. was recruited as a song writer and lead guitarist of European arena hard rock sensation Black Cat 9 (Think early AC/DC meets Airborne). D.J. wrote, recorded and produced four full length albums, followed by sold out tours with venues ranging from the famed Cathouse in Milan, Italy to headlining the Born to be Wild motorcycle rally for 15,000 plus fans.
Comin Home:
Wanting to stick with his blues roots, D.J. returned to the United States where he caught the attention of some of Southern California’s top blues players and concert promoters. D.J. was asked to play the first ever High Desert Blues Festival at Heritage Stadium opening for the famed Canned Heat, the 44’s and the New Blues Revolution. “Wielding guitar solos that echoed throughout the stadium”.
