To whom it may concern,
My name is Amie Levasseur. I am the cofounder of LymeBuddies, a volunteer organization for Lyme Disease support and awareness. I also cofounded an annual music festival called Peace, Love & Lyme Aid here in Maine. I am writing this testimonial for the Tom Towler Band.
I first had the pleasure of watching Tom perform solo a few years ago at an annual neighborhood barbecue. I was very impressed, and enjoyed his performance so much that I approached him and asked him to perform at my music festival. To my delight, he asked his band members, and they agreed to support our cause, even though it meant coming up from Massachusetts. Their performance at the festival went over extremely well. I received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees, as well as numerous fellow musicians. Fortunately for us, they have been back a couple more times and we have asked them to return again this fall.
Together they sound very professional while also coming across as earthy and relatable. Their genre is usually roots/rock/Americana. If you like folk, rock, country rock, blues, Beatles, 60's folk music, 70's singer-songwriters-Croce, Dylan, Cat Stevens, John Prine, you will LOVE Tom Towler's classic voice. They always connect with the audience both during songs and in between. Tom's vocals are smooth and grainy at the same time. He has versatility and range. The bands' appeal crosses many generations and is timeless. When covering other's, they manage to sound just like the original artist, while somehow adding their own flair. Their original songs are also a treat to hear, and Tom lets the audience know what the songs were written about so they feel a part of it.
As a festival organizer, I am very pleased to have a band like the Tom Towler Band included in our line up. I highly recommend them! If you would like any more information or insight about the band, feel free to contact me any time.
