The Brew City Rockers represent the melding of 6 outstanding musicians who bring their varied influences together to create a memorable sound and show that will leave an audience wanting more.
The band's early influences range from Jill's mother singing on the spanish radio, Jim and Jeff's humble beginnings in local polka bands, and Steve and Matt's touring days! All of these influences can still be seen from time to time in the band's, sometimes, eclectic mix of songs, whether it be Steve's rendition of a Journey classic, Jill belting out a Linda Rondstadt number, or Jeff kicking out on a polka in response to an audience request...
The band was formed in the early 90's after Jim left Incoming and Jeff left GMS. Soon after forming, the band was a regular on the local music scene making regular appearances at popular clubs such as Nick's Nicabob, Truman's, MusicBox, The Hop (Sheboygan), and Kiko's Show Lounge, as well as regular appearances at local festivals including St. Greg's, St Stephens, The Waterfrolics, State Fair and others.
Over the years, some of the players have changed, but the back-beat and the focus of the band has not. Through it all, the Rockers are still focused on providing the best music to keep you on your feet and having fun!
You never know what you are going to hear at a Rockers show, but you always know that you'll have a great time!
