Bio

Every one born into this world has their own destiny to fulfill. Marcus Ray Walker II learned early in his life that his fate was within music. He has been performing for audiences for the past four years going  by the stage name of DredHead. As a 12 year old child, Marcus wrote numerous amounts of lyrics but had no studio to record in. After some time, Marcus had enough songs to fill two binders, but he could only rap with his friends. Marcus would meet his friends, Iraq and Young Stokes boy, every morning before school in the cafeteria and the three of them would make beats on the table and perform their songs for whoever was around them. The trio started being recognized as the DreadHead Boys, and gained a lot of respect from their peers. They started performing at housed parties, teen nights at the local clubs, and at the local fair grounds. After a while, the three of them got into a few misunderstandings, and branched off and pursued their individual rap careers. Despite the fact that the Dread Head Boys had broken up, Marcus kept writing and investing money towards obtaining a home studio. Shortly after achieving his goal of having his own studio, Marcus released three mixtapes over the next two years, "Introduced 2 the Game","The Laboratory Starts", and "Introduced 2 The Game: Smack Down Edition". He gained a lot of support and fans all across the city of Pensacola Florida, and from that day forward he would be known to everyone as DredHead. After graduating high school, Marcus relocated to Tallahassee Florida to further his education and spread his music in a college town. In 2008, DredHead dropped another mixtape entitled "The Take Off", and received a lot of positive feedback and local publicity from his new found city. The mixtape featured 22 songs and it ultimately let the streets know there was a new artist in their town. The tracks involved everything from club life, to up beat songs, songs for the ladies, and just real life topics. As a result of the outcome of the mixtape, DredHead was featured in Florida State University's campus newspaper, had a photo shoot with Edge Magazine, performed on Florida A&M and Florida State University campuses, and also started performing at the local clubs. DredHead's greatest influence to do music was his father, Marcus Walker Senior, because he rapped and also was a disc jockey. He also admired Michael Jackson, Prince, and 2pac for their uniqueness and originality. Marcus, as a person, has a very outgoing personality. The performer, DredHead, has a very versatile style and loves to try different sounds with his music and words. He stands out because he never tries to portray an image of something he's not, and he straight up keeps it real. DredHead's vision is to touch peoples lives through his words and music.  He wants humanity to realize that it's about coming together, and helping one another out because we can not make it in this world alone. He knows that he can achieve this enormous task through his lyrics because he speaks on obstacles that everyone goes through, how the world views us as people, fashion, trials with the opposite sex, and the struggle to get money. Nothing would bring Marcus more pleasure than to know his music has reached people all over the world, and he will not stop until he achieves what he has strived exceptionally hard for. He hopes for and appreciates your support.
