"Tampa Bay Times /TBT Top 100 Indies Review"

“There's a hint of trippy production lurking in the background of Gangalee's otherwise hard-edged rap, a nod , perhaps, to her Jamaican heritage. Like Rick Ross, her flow is deliberate but merciless (she does have a song called "F-- 'em) and in March 2014 she opened up for Joell Ortiz at Club Skye in Ybor City. facebook.com/TheRealGangalee” - Robyn Mitchell

"Austrian Mixtape Volume 1: Review"

Gangalee proves herself time again on “Same old Kid “, even if the Adlibs in her part are noticeable, it accustoms one fast to it and the parts of Sir Francis Drake and TONE resembles True hiphop in its rare form.Gangalee and Sir Francis Drake bring the heat on “GET DAT to (money) YA' LL ' (translated from German Language).

Career

2005 - 2010

In 2005, Ganga Lee licensed her song “The Jam” to MTV who used the song on their Reality show “PowerGirls” about PR specialist Lizzie Grubman mentoring a group of young hopeful publicists as they work their way in the world of celebrities, glamour, and public relations to ultimately earn a spot in Lizzie Grubman’s PR team. This was a big win for the rapper who had the music supervisor for the show call her cell phone directly asking to speak with the rapper about her song, which within weeks made it on the show.

She ultimately decided to try her hand at a solo career and released her first solo album “Vintage Roots” in 2007, with the way music was being delivered to consumers changing, the rapper wanted to make sure she took advantage of all avenues available to her. She released the album via Disc makers and was able to make quite a bit of noise overseas thanks to Disc Makers releasing it on the internet as well. Austrian Artist Prinzeed like her sound so much he invited her to be on his mixtape titled “Austrian hip-hop Mix CD Volume 1” which further helped her establish her name in the European underground Hip-hop scene.

In 2008 Ganga Lee released a video of her first solo album “Vintage Roots” titled “Pretty Girlz” which was shot by renowned video director Brian Byrd from the Multi-platinum producer Timbaland’s media camp.

In 2009 Norfolk VA’s 103 JAMZ DJ Bee played GangaLee’s single ‘SoleStar’ on his show Battle of the Beats. He debuted the song in June and had to retire the song Labor Day Weekend in September because it beat every song it went up against on a daily basis.

In 2010 Ganga Lee released a video titled “Opulence/2.0” which was filmed and directed by world renowned filmmaker Samuel Rogers on location in New York. The video had guest appearances from the Beatminerz, Krazy DJ Bazarro, and more. New York’s own Video Music Box VJ Host Ralph McDaniels loved the video and put it in rotation on his show. The video gained traction and was seen around the world.

2012-2018

In 2012 Ganga Lee released a single “Not for Free” with its bright and colorful video shot by renowned video director Collosal TV from Norfolk, VA. This single was an unexpected hit for Ganga Lee when she asked DJ Slice to bless the track with some cuts. DJ Slice has since moved to Africa and his musical influence in the Motherland helped Ganga Lee’s single gain more traction on iTunes. Ganga Lee’s show dates have been picking up since she relocated to Tampa, FL. Since arriving in Florida, she re branded DOE Records, released three studio albums a few singles, as well as a few SoundCloud remixes.

Ganga Lee (MC) recently released her Third Solo Album “Moments of Perfection” on DOE Records/Symphonic distribution. The album which debuted in June 2018 was released to positive reception from fans all around the world.
