As Trellz$ellz, my music is purely based on ideas that draw out the creative processes that we all possess. When you have concepts for your music that lets the public know that you stand for something. My influences in hip hop are the forefathers of going outside of the box like Run DMC, N.E.R.D, Jay-Z and Kanye West. I feel that the fact that I do not hold a “better than you” attitude sets me apart from other hip hop artist. I do not base my success on stepping over people or degrading our society. I am all for positive steps toward positive resolutions. Plain and simple my journey is not that different from anyone else’s rags to riches story. I have experienced poverty, adversity and failure. All of which has made me a stronger and better person. I can relate to alot of people who have gone through the same hardships that I have. No one wants to hear someone who thinks that they are better than them, however they can appreciate someone who can uplift them and this is what I have to offer.
