Trey's Origins: Born and raised in Riverdale, GA (1995)
Trey Monroe, an Atlanta native, is an artist with a laid back, urban sound grounded ingritty southern roots and a 90s vibe. At the age of 13, Monroe's interest in music was sparked by learning to play percussion in a music theory class. He began rapping amoung his friends and with local influences such as Outkast, T.I., Goodie Mob, Jeezy and Ludacris, Monroe later created his first mix-tape "Grape Soda and Rocketships". Due to the popularity of this mixtape among his peers, Monroe knew he wanted to make this a career.
In September 2016 he released his first single and video, "Solo Dolo" and began to generate buzz. A couple years later, Monroe performed as the headliner of a showcase held at Masquerade July 2017. When Monroe is not busy promoting his current album, "Lowest of Keys" (2018), he can be found collaborating with other underground artists or writing songs for the next album.
