Our past show reviewsApril 8, 2009
On March 27 and 28,
We envoked ourselves to gig at UNC-Charlotte, and The Rock Shop in Fayetteville, NC the following day. Friday started early with packing all the sound and equipment into the trailer to than unload at the UNCC campus. The hospitality was great and very organized. They even had food and help for us to unload and pack up. The show went very well and we loved the atmosphere within the venue we performed on. The stage was a really good size with room for our 9 piece to dance and do what ever we wanted. One funny, I guess funny event that happen that night, was our sound engineer, whose name I will not mention, drove the truck and trailer off the loading dock to park it somewhere. Well, next we find out that the top of the trailer was smashed against the parking deck entrance. Apperently, the trailer was to tall. Well the damage was not bad after all. Thank goodness that the truck was going at a slow speed. Other than that it was a smooth ride to the end of the night. On Saturday, we all headed over to The Rock Shop in Fayetteville, NC. The sound was great, the people were really nice and caring of our sound needs. That night the sound tech and venue owner worked the stage and sound. They had to change over three bands that night. Every band brought and used their own equipment. So you can imaging how hectic that can be with staying on time with the schedule. We have to say that it was well planned and organized and the transitions were smooth. Plus it helped that all bands were very helpful among each other. The local band actually order some pizza for all musicians which we much appreciate since we were starving as we got there to set up. When you get a chance look them up. The two bands that played with us that night were Niki Barr Band and the local band Oakcrest. You should be able to find them on MySpace. Upcoming shows are near. Our next major Charlotte, NC show will be at the famous Double Door Inn with Bums Lie as the opener, on April 24, 2009. It will be a fun night with lots of energy and good vibes. The following day April 25, we will be heading up to Boone to perform at the Boone Saloon. See you there and have a good easter weekend. --Jorge |
