We Make Great Music.((When did Hip Hop grab your attention and How long have you been performing? I was born into Hip Hop so I guess you can say from birth. I’ve been performing my whole life. The World’s a stage.(( Lets talk about your current project 'The Wonder Boy' LP/ Mixtape hosted by Bedtyme357. How is it different from the 'Pop E Kokk' mixtape and how has the response been so far? With the Kokky Mixtape, I was just rapping over everybody’s tracks. Basically I was just trying to clear my head of the verses I’ve been sitting on and I was Kokky enough to do it over the hottest dudes in the game beats. The Wonder Boy project is more conceptual. I played around with writing styles too. That’s all original production from Neve and Rickochae. I put that out to see what people think of us as a collective. The response has been suprisingly well.(( When putting together 'The Wonder Boy' LP/ Mixtape, what was your creative approach? Who were some of the producers and or artists you have collabed with? Neve gave me the intro and Rickochae gave me the soundscape. I just basically followed Rick’s lead. I gave them the theme, they gave me the music, then I layed down the lyrics.((You have opened for several major artists such as the WU. How has your stage show improved and what can those who attend expect to see? I gained more and more confidence with each show. It’s allowed me to experiment with the smaller shows and bring it to the big stage. I want to get better breath control though. I want to put this band together too. Some musicians that can really put the Stank on my sh*t. When you come to my show, you get the energy, you get the interaction. I want better breath control so you can get everything that I’m saying too. So you are getting what you paid for, the full experience.(( Musically who inspires Universol? Who? James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Rick James inspire me. Lauryn Hill to this day, Outkast, John Robinson, Wize Intelligent, Black Thought.(( How do you measure your successes? I don’t measure the suceess, I just keep working. I know the successes came from hardwork. (( What’s next? Right now I’m in the midst of locking down New Jersey with John Robinson. We got this New Jersey Tour happening. I know that doesn’t seem like much for someone in the city or with all this internet access to get around the globe, but I want to get a stronghold on the state I’m from before I start branching out. We got more music coming too.
