While many people are working from home and practicing social distancing, there are 27 million Americans who are entrepreneurs and have halted their daily activities due to Coronavirus. According to The New York Times, “The global spread of the coronavirus has been seismic, overburdening health care systems, torpedoing stock markets and requiring millions of people to submit to severe restrictions on their personal movement. The world has changed drastically in the last few weeks, and will continue to be disrupted for some time.” This unfortunate circumstance has driven creatives like freelancers and independent artists to begin refocusing their 2020 goals.

Wild Prxfits is a rap duo that consists of Wxlfman and Louie Tha Profit, they both hail from Queens and Brooklyn. The mix of two boroughs will have you craving that New York sound from the ‘90s to the early 2000s. - Revolt

Wxlfman (pronounced wxlfman), is a Brooklyn-based hip-hop musician/rapper and dancer who grew up with the classic hip-hop influences such as A tribe called Quest, Busta Rhymes and 90’s rock bands like red hot chili peppers and Nirvana. Wxlfman, who grew up in Bed-Stuy, tells Brooklyn Roads that his experience living in the borough of Brooklyn has influenced his artistic character. “Brooklyn is an artistic hub” and the ups and downs of living the Brooklyn life have shaped him as an artists.

Wxlfman has made it a point to continue incorporating what he experiences and sees in the world into his music. His latest album, Huemin, released in 2020, was written as a reference to the traumatic events that occurred in society this past year. He tells Brooklyn Roads his inspiration to expose what it is to be African American in this day and age came so passionately in June 2020 and he decided to create an album surrounded by this theme. - Brooklyn Roads
