Bio

Born in 1972 in Atlantic
City, New Jersey, Joseph Lamont Cornish
a.k.a. Yuseph started out in 1989 as a background dancer for a
local artist. He also wrote rhymes as a hobby.
In 1990, the artist that he danced for stopped rhyming. During this
time, Yuseph started to focus mainly on writing rhymes which ultimately built
his confidence to put his rhyming skills to the test. Perfecting his skills
lead Yuseph to performing at street fairs, unity rallies and talent shows. Yuseph
finally got his big break in the music industry when he hooked up with a group
formally known as, "The Deadly Snakes". The group landed a record
deal with Tommy Boy Records, and toured various cities performing in Washington
D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, Jersey City and Miami, Florida. The tour was
called, "The Lyricist Lounge Tour". "The Deadly Snakes"
also interviewed with "Big Lez" from B.E.T. on "Rap
City".  Business disputes with Tommy
Boy records lead to the canceling of "The Deadly Snakes" recording
contract and this dilemma split the group. Since the break-up of the group,
Yuseph is currently working on solo projects, one of which is  a mixed C.D.
(Outside Da’ Box: Vol 2) with other hip-hop artists whose goals are the
same as Yuseph’s; to make a difference in the way of Hip-Hop music, filled with
positive lyrics and influences for the youth.
Yuseph credits his  musical
influences such as Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy and KRS-ONE.  He was featured on Chuck D's internet label,
"SlamJamz.com", also his hit single, "Move On" was
distributed on "Alive and Free Records"  on the compilation album, "Strength Of A
Nation" He is now independently pushing his own

record label “Saj’dah ent.
His current project from the label is a cd called…
