Bio

10- 20 tHA b-BOY aPOSTLe
10-20 was born James Taylor in 1974 into an unstable and violent family and quickly became a product of his environment. His family was under the curse of a powerful sexual curse , and he and many of his family members became victims of sexual abuse. This pattern continued for years with the children of his family. He was also exposed to domestic violence at a very early age. 10-20's mother was battered by the man he knew as his father. One day, a violent fight broke out and to protect herself, his mother ended up killing him in their household. His upbringing was rough and common of the times we're living in. 10-20 began to flow and experiment with rhyming in 1985. He found peace and strength in sports in high school and became all-state in track. He also became more precise with his emceeing and battling. After he graduated, college was forsaken for a sack of crack and the thug era in his life was born. 10-20 reached adulthood and he began to get involved with violent street gangs. The gangs brought more drugs into his everyday life and he became a known drug dealer. While abusing alcohol and drugs, his street reputation began to grow both as an emcee and a true hustler. However, his life began to come apart before his eyes. Once there had been major record companies knocking on the door and now there was nobody. 10-20 was introduced to Jesus through a good friend and former crew member. In 1999, 10-20 signed with Warriors for Christ Entertainment to promote Christian Hip Hop.
