A Higher Third is a rock band from Richmond, Virginia made up of Jackson Howe (vocals, guitar), Jack Morris (bass), Andrew Garcia (guitar, keyboard), Madison Hinson (drums, vocals, guitar) and featuring Ria Khandpur (vocals). In February, 2018, they released their first EP "I Feel Quite Alright." This release follows up on their single "66 and Sunny" and was recorded in their home studio. Their sound encompassing sonic vibes from power pop and indie, to classic rock, funk and everything in between.
The band holds an interesting dynamic in that three of their members are multi-instrumentalists. They incorporate this skill in their in their music and live shows. The group also has multiple songwriters, allowing for a wide variety in their sound.
Their influences include: Interpol, Colony House, Foo Fighters, and Def Leppard.
