Closing the festival, Africa Violeta gave the audience their money's worth. Frontman Caldera, who has been a musician since he was 12, has a very strong stage presence and a great voice. Africa Violeta's bassist Jhonson, lead guitarist Chagoya, and drummer Villanueva were musically sound. Although the band has a style all its own, Africa Violeta is unapologetic rock 'n' roll. - SGN

And Now We Ride LP (2017) This album is probably our best work yet! Nominated in four categories at the Univision Seattle Latin Music Awards and Awarded with Best Song of the Year and Best Songwriter. This album has placed us at many radio stations in Latin American countries and Europe.

Africa Violeta are Carlos Caldera (Nicaragua), Sanford Johnson (USA) and Carlos Villanueva (Mexico). We were formed back in 2008 in Seattle, Wa. and since then our music has achieved massive success in the latin audience all around Washington and Oregon State as well as in many countries in Latin America such as Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina.
