""Named Best Vocalist!""

Amanda Earhart, a promising pop/rock singer & songwriter based in Dallas, TX, has won the December SingerUniverse “Best Vocalist Of The Month” Competition, for her performance of her song “Tell Me What You Want" (co-written by Lyn Olson). This song will be featured on her upcoming 6-song EP, which Earhart will release independently early next year (2012).

“Tell Me What You Want” is a strong blues/rock number which has a contemporary edge to it. If Kelly Clarkson or Beyonce sang a song which was more organic-sounding, it might resemble this cut. This song provides an excellent showcase for Earhart's clear, powerful vocals. Her voice is impressive throughout, particularly when it soars into a higher range later in the song. "Tell Me What You Want" was expertly produced by Lyn Olson, who played guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. Earhart also played keyboards, and sang all the vocal parts.

Earhart was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where she learned to play piano and began performing at a young age. She grew up listening to such favorite artists as Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and other classic soul artists. When she was 12, Earhart began to perform professionally, singing with a quartet which played frequently in Branson, MO and throughout Oklahoma and Texas. Notably at age 14, she was awarded the Female Vocalist of the Year (16 & Under division) and was the youngest ever to be inducted into the Oklahoma Opry Hall of Fame.

Following high school, Earhart attended the University of North Texas (in Denton, TX) for two years. However, she decided to leave college to pursue a professional music career. She joined a cover band in nearby Dallas and became their lead singer. Earhart also trained to become a successful vocal coach; she now has 50 clients and is an associate of renowned vocal coach, Tom McKinney.

Amanda Earhart In 2009, Earhart's artist career took a positive turn when she hooked up with writer/producer, Lyn Olson. "I actually met Lyn via the music classified section in Craigslist," she recalled. "Lyn called me up and we started working together at his studio. It's been great collaborating with Lyn--we've written many songs for my upcoming EP, and for an eventual full-length album release."

Earhart is looking forward to releasing her debut EP, which will contain six new songs written with Olson. "I'm excited about promoting my EP and performing the new songs live," said Earhart. "We're currently trying out musicians for our live band."

"It's a been a dream come true to create my own music," she added. "I want to share my music [and hopefully] inspire people with my music...I want them to walk away feeling better." - Singer Universe - By Dale Kawashima

Bio

After the recent performance at Norman Music Festival (NMF), Switzer Talent Agency say "Amanda Earhart embodies the word 'entertainer.' Her powerful vocals cut straight to the heart - rock solid, yet full of emotion - and her ability to work a crowd is no small feat. Her energy is infectious and it's evident that she was born to per for. Take note of this artist - she's one to watch!"

Amanda was born and raised on the stage. From the age of 12 years old, when she was hired for her first gig, she knew performing was her life's work! Amanda's daily life has always been music, having started playing piano at the ripe age of 3 and performing over 1,000 shows by the age of 16! As a child, she had something every night of the week, whether it was a dance, voice, acting, piano class or rehearsal. She hasn't stopped living and breathing it ever since.

She started working professionally at the age of 12, performing 5 days/week, and became the vocal director at 14 for the show's quartet. By the age of 19, she was playing weekly in the night clubs, entertaining and holding the rowdy crowd with tremendous energy, keeping the dance floor packed until it was past "last call". She continued to hone her craft (and make a living) for the next several years, singing virtually every genre and traveling the country as the lead singer for one of the most sought-after 12-piece big bands, playing across the US and Caribbean.

"I come from a musical family...I grew up singing and making music - across three generations! I would join my grandmother my in the piano lounges when I was 7.. and my dad would teach me harmonies riding in the car at the age of 8..and those are some of my fondest memories."

Associating Acts: Troy “R8DIO” Johnson - (Candice Pillay, Dumblonde, Jesse McCartney, Eve, JLo, Chris Brown, Backstreet Boys, Will Smith, Solange, Kelly Rowland); Rickey “Slikk” Offord - (Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, American Music Award - Ariana Grande); Damon Elliott - (Dionne Warwick, Beyonce, P!nk, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera); Associate Producer, Development Team (songwriter/vocal producer/developer) with Max Gousse, Artistry LLC (Beyoncé, Dreamgirls) & Producer Kosine (Da Internz: John Legend, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj), Blake Shelton, Scott Hoying (Pentatonic), Shaggy, Shaq, Vince Gill, Bryan White, Jeff Wood, Jason Matthews; and old friends, Jerrod Neimann, Audra Mae, Katrina Elam, Kata Hay..

"Music is my purpose while I am here and I will never stop!" She plans to travel the world sharing her message through music, being an inspiration to everyone. "Change one person at a time through my music and leave a message, share my story with the hope of impacting lives, for generations to come"
