What first seems like the beginning of a perfect love story, soon turns into a re-enactment of Simon Armitage’s poem ‘Hitcher’. Despite (or maybe because of?) this video being a mini horror movie, we’re bowled over by its beautifully shot footage, its equally beautiful soundtrack and enviable, effortless street/vintage style. Our fave New Yorker, Alexis (perhaps better known to most of you as Minzly) Johnson, plays the perfect femme fatale and we find ourselves oddly inspired by her character’s girl-boss, man-eater persona (though we still have love for Jason Billy’s super qt, super dreamy character and his boy-racer pimped up car – you know the kind we’ve all dreamt of being picked up in at one point or another…?) Anyway, we hope you find Dakota Hanson and Jay Bostwick’s creation as fun as we do and appreciate Phoolish’s sounds the way you should
