Avenue B

Leslie Mauldin, John Mauldin, and Jed Moss are high school friends who each have established careers as concert and theatrical performers. As “Avenue B”,  they pay homage to their roots and share their experiences by giving audiences a candid look at their journey into the world of entertainment. Each has a strong foundation in the classical tradition, while also using their diverse experience to successfully bridge the gap between the formal concert stage and the provocative music of Broadway, Pop, and Folk. The admiration and respect that these three performers share, and the love they have for what they do is communicated to the audience in the unique way that they interact with each other in performance. Jed Moss has a career as a concert and collaborative pianist that spans 30 years, and which includes performances that cover a wealth of material from classical works to traveling the globe playing pop rock music concerts for stadium audiences where he also sang backup vocals which comes in handy for Avenue B’s rich trio harmonies. Siblings Leslie and John are both operatically trained singers, and have performed opera, oratorio, and concert roles with major regional opera companies and symphonies in the U.S. Northwest and West Coast regions and abroad. On the flip side, this brother and sister are quite accustomed to pulling out their guitars and singing pop and folk music from various songwriters, as well as throwing in some of their own original material - some of which was written while sitting out on the roof of their home on Avenue B - a place where these three musicians first discovered where their lives would take them. Avenue B invites you to join them on a journey back to that simpler time, now viewed through the lens of the diverse musical and performing experience that each has shared.
