And The Day Is Mine is a culmination of 4 people with varying musical tastes. Their sound is somewhat in the realm of Minus the Bear, Fall of Troy and Circa Survive. They use tap melodies, complex chord changes as well as improv sections in their live shows. Utilizing their pedal boards and complex rhythm changes they create intricate soundscapes that leave the listener wondering where the next aural journey will take them. They are based out of the Long Island, NY area and have been playing together and composing for a little over 2 years. Local open mics bought the original 2 guitarists Christian Seda and Austin Gahllagher together to formulate the basis of the band. Upon writing a few songs together they began searching for other musicians to fill the role of bassist and drummer. upon meeting many musicians around the area they came across the 2 very talented Ryan Dipietrantonio(bass) and Tom Freyer(drums). Their sound was now complete and they are in plans to release a full length by the end of 2014. Expect a 3 song EP to come out Spring 2014 and a full length by the end of 2014 from these guys. They bring a fresh sound to the scene and have no intentions of stopping.
