"BluMoon Rising::Slow Burn by BluMoon out Now"

"Their latest release, sounds like a million bucks, with its dynamic range of sounds and energy that it encompasses musically, courtesy of Taylor Louis, Andrew Harkey and Isaac Pulido. Add to this the fact that vocalist Kendra Sells effortlessly balances deeply introspective and thought-provoking lyrics with lyrics that shine a spotlight on injustice and the ever-changing highs and lows of human interaction, and you’ve got a project that puts an early flag in the ground as a key 2019 release. Bio

BluMoon is a neo-soul/R&B band from San Marcos, Texas. Initially a solo endeavor of singer-songwriter, Kendra Sells, BluMoon has been through many iterations. The current lineup consists of Sells as lead vocalist, Andrew Harkey on bass, Isaac Pullido on drums and Thomas Wenglingski on keys.  After performing together for local residencies, they went on to release their first project, Decisions, Decisions, in early 2017. Drawing influences from the likes of Herbie Hancock, Thundercat, and  Robert Glasper, they combine a fresh blend of neo-soul, R&B and Jazz with a DIY work ethic that has dominated their local scene. Their live shows connect this energy to a soul-stirring pace and endearing presence that fills rooms with dancing feet and swaying hips. In March of 2019, they released their latest album, Slow Burn, a fittingly warm ode to heart ache and more so the growth that surrounds it. Sells intricate songwriting shines through glowing instrumentation that creates a dialogue with listeners, inviting them into a story that can just as well be their own.
