Bio
The Divine Hand Ensemble is a unique group led by a concert Thereminist. The current Ensemble, the core of which has been together over ten years, also includes a string "quartet" (with up to six members), two pedal Harpists, percussionist (vibes, marimba, and more), accordionist, and flutist. Personnel can vary to suit the engagement, but a minimum of six players are required to provide a fair representation of the Ensemble. The typical, and preferred, Ensemble presents at least nine players.
They are based in the Philadelphia area and perform in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware.Their repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, movie themes, soundtracks, rock covers, originals, funerary music, sacred music, popular favorites, and even some Ska. Several members often add educational interludes about their instruments (e.g. Theremin, Harps, Accordion) to further engage the audience. These sessions can be contracted separately if desired, as they interface well with STEM, STEAM, museum, and other educational programs. Divine Hand Ensemble concerts are always engaging and appeal to a broad spectrum of fans and concertgoers. Their performances have been described as ethereal, eloquent, and mesmerizing.
Their website, www.DivineHand.net, will give you a sample of their skills and versatility.
