Houses in the Sky would be the gritty grunge band playing in your best friend’s garage in 1995 with hints of psychedelic funk in the mix. This Central Pennsylvania based rock band formed by 4 college friends came together for their love of artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice In Chains, and Rush. Lead vocalist Sierra Englehart’s melancholy lyrics are brightened by Nick’s groovy guitar riffs, while Blake on bass and Justin on drums provide interesting rhythmic patterns. Their freshman EP Seasons Changing was released in the fall of 2021 after months of artistic freedom during the pandemic. Since forming they have played at venues in Central Pennsylvania such as Phantom Power, Tellus360, RecordSmith, and Friends of the West Shore Theatre.
