Joe Billy

Joe Billy is a solo project I started after years of wanting to pursue writing original music. 
I play acoustically, in a more up tempo and loud style, many associate it to "folk punk" or "acoustic punk" type music. 
Lyrical content has always been so important to me, so every song I write (or at least i attempt) has some sort of important or thought provoking meaning behind it; a sense of awareness, a perception on an issue or multiple issues, social constructs, systems of oppression we see in everyday life, etc. 
If I could help one person think to themselves "hm, I want to think about this and open my mind up/ i should check this issue out and see what's happening" then i feel I did my job right. 
Spreading some love and positivity has always been a way of life for me and I try to extend that through my music as well.
