MICAH WAGNER - Is a man of many words and worlds, profoundly inspired by language, philosophy, and art. Born and raised in Austin, TX, he’s an artist and producer by trade and a songwriter by nature. In an homage to home, he recently founded a recording studio called MR Studios, where he produces local artists.
As an artist, Micah has gained inspiration from a range of musicians over the years. He considers himself a Pink Floyd “diehard,” and has been influenced by artists like Nick Drake, Paul Simon, Justin Vernon, Dan Aurbacher over the years. Having now played guitar for 13 years, Micah has mastered a signature sound that blends folk, country, and, lately, both dark and upbeat electronic sounds. No matter the sound, everything Micah creates reflects his deep thinking and inquisition.
As a producer, Micah has a genuine interest in helping his artists evolve. “I want to produce unbelievable art, thereby creating greater connectivity between all of us. I put systems in place for people who may feel isolated and alone—who don’t have a full band, who don’t know how to produce, or don’t know which way to turn. I help them slowly evolve their art and process by assessing who they are.”
Collectively, as both an artist and producer, Micah has committed his life to his quest—and that quest is to infiltrate the world with as much profound art and beautiful music as he can.
