""True Cowpunk Band""

"Red Eye Gravy is a true cowpunk band from the ashes of Woody Guthrie." -

"I was given comfort to know that there was a band like Red Eye Gravy playing in Oklahoma. The band had an electrifying stage presence and Joshua had an incredible voice. It was a pleasure to have them open the show."

"Red Eye Gravy is one of my favorite bands to see live and to jam with on stage. Joshua is one of the most talented young artists I’ve seen in Oklahoma in a long time."
-Randy Crouch - Randy Crouch

"The band gives a message for those who might wrinkle their noses at the thought of going to see a country band. They pound out a slew of original songs that say—without varnish—what’s on their minds. You will leave the show exhausted with pride and a different aspect on country music."

Red Eye Gravy - Red Eye Gravy, 2008

Red Eye Gravy is the new sound of Oklahoma. The boys create a stylistic blend of traditional country music with the fast-paced punch of punk adding a few hints of bluegrass, rockabilly and blues along the way. Red Eye Gravy embodies a timeless, traditional sound punched-up through the modern lens of rock & roll loud, raw and uncompromising.

This ain't red dirt - it's Oklahoma Cowpunk!

The band pummels through an exhilarating live show that captures the audience from the first burst of piercing vocals to the last notes of their deep-rooted sound. Combining a drummer baptized in punk rock, swinging doghouse bass, gritty but melodic guitar and the feverish conviction of its vocalist, Red Eye Gravy will have you believing the Grand Ole Opry was just set on fire and burned to the ground. Whether playing original songs, traditionals, or the occasional cover, this band will deliver an unparalleled show.

Red Eye Gravy has performed in venues across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri, Texas, Colorado and has shared the stage with such acts as: Zac Brown Band, Chuck Mead, Billy Joe Shaver, Junior Brown, Wayne 'The Train' Hancock, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Brandon Jenkins, The Red Dirt Rangers, Jackson Taylor Band, Randy Crouch and Travis Linville. The Dirty Okie was also asked to represent REG solo as an opening act for Scott H. Biram

The band released their full-length debut album in 2008 and has received great reviews. The CD is being labeled as truly something different to come out of Oklahoma. The band will have soon finished recording the follow-up record "Dust Bowl Hangover." set for release in early 2014
