"Shon Weathers is all about positive "Feng Shui""

Budding emcee Shon Weathers displays pure positive vibes on his new record aptly titled "Feng Shui." The production is a nice blend of hip-hop, soul, and funk vibes courtesy of Decap.

The arrangement is quite interesting as the emcee delivers a long verse in a carefree manner before switching into a more melodic performance on the second half of the song. A true student of the game, he shows solid lyricism from start to finish while adding a new age touch to the craft. In his own words, he tries to create "…Something that bridges the gap between the younger generation and the "old heads."

The visual, helmed by Montel Visuals and shot in New York's Times Square, shows the young emcee having fun doing what he knows best. Get the audio on Apple Music.

"Shon Weathers - Feng Shui"

Queens, New York has always had it's share of hip hop legends from the first hip hop rock-stars Run DMC, the legend himself Nas, Mobb Deep , and 50 Cent just to name a few. Queens always gives you the perfect combination of grit and glamour when it comes to hip hop and Shon Weathers follows tradition perfectly with his new song "Feng Shui".

Shon Weathers rhyme style on "Feng Shui" gives you everything as his flow is so flashy and fits the big city lights you expect to see in New York as well as lyrically packing a punch with lines like "They do the most and ironically they do don't do enough" that" that command attention.

Shon Weathers sounds like he was made for the big stage with his commanding presence and looks the part as he takes us through New York in the "Feng Shui" video that not only sell the song but really displays his confident swagger that makes people fall in love with artists.

"Supreme Thanks for IMA Participation"

Shon -

Please extend our sincere thanks to Shon for an incredible set on Saturday night.

His was one of the few I had a chance to watch in full given the interruptions and questions coming at me like a tsunami throughout the show.

I know from conversations with friends, family members and other nominees attending the Ceremony, that in addition to your win, you won some new fans and followers. (One of my best friends called Shon's set the performance of the evening, and has been streaming Feng Shui on his YouTube account.)

FYI, we're just getting the raw footage of the weekend events --- the show included. And so we should be posting clips of weekend activities & performances soon.

Hope all of you are enjoying the start of what looks to be a great Summer.

Feng Shui

A 2019 Independent Music Award Nominee, Shon was born and raised in Queens, New York, I'm not ashamed to admit I took a few pages out of the books of the heavy hitters of my city, both old and new. As the saying goes "study the best to be the best".  In doing so, I've created something that has become my own personal style. Something that bridges the gap between the younger generation and the "old heads." I take pride in being able to appeal to both, and want nothing more than to touch as many souls as possible in a positive way. I feel like music is one of, if not the best avenue to do just that.
