One of the most influential bands in the world of R&B and Pop music is international multi-platinum recording act, The Deele. Original members being Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Antonio "L.A." Reid, Carlos "Satin" Greene, Stanley "Dee" Bristol, Stanley “Sticq” Burke, and Kevin “Kayo” Roberson. In addition to their success as a band, The Deele has also worked with and created some of the biggest names in music. The Deele’s contributions as writers, producers and performers on projects for other artists has resulted in multiple award-winning efforts that total more than 50 million in worldwide record sales. Combined Deele members Dee and Kayo have a history of writing and producing some of the biggest songs in history from Deele favorites to Grammy Award winning songs such as Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together”.

The path to success for this band started in 1983 with their #3 R&B debut single “Body Talk” setting the stage for The Deele to continue to turn out R&B hits and radio favorites for the next six years. Some of the most notable charting songs that were released by The Deele during this period of time include “Just My Luck”, “Sweet November”, “Material Thangz”, “I’ll Send You Roses”, “Shoot ‘em Up Movies” and their Top Ten Pop hit “Two Occasions”.

In the midst of The Deele’s success as a recording act they began to branch out in the areas of writing and production for outside artists. In 1987, Deele lead vocalist Dee, bass player Kayo, touring percussionist/keyboard player Daryl Simmons, drummer L.A. Reid and keyboard/vocalist Babyface all contributed their talents to the writing, production and performance of The Whispers Just Gets Better With Time release resulting in a Top Ten single with “Rock Steady”. In addition to The Whispers Dee, Kayo, L.A. and Daryl also contributed to fellow band member Babyface’s debut solo effort Lovers. This album produced three Top Ten R&B hits “Mary Mack”, “Lovers” and “I Love You Babe” with two of these hits being co-written by Dee, Kayo, L.A. and Daryl starting a slew of outside projects that would begin dominating the charts.

Acts like Pebbles, Bobby Brown, and Karyn White all began to make their debut in the Top Ten a result of their work with The Deele. Tracks such as “Girlfriend” Pebbles (featuring), “Don’t Be Cruel” Bobby Brown, “Every Little Step” Bobby Brown, “The Way You Love Me” Karyn White, “Superwoman” Karyn White and “Secret Rendezvous” Karyn White were all a result of The Deele’s efforts. The combination of Deele personnel was always right on target when it came to pumping out the hits whether it was a song like “Roni” (#3 Pop) written by Dee and Babyface with L.A. and Babyface producing or a song like “The Way You Love Me” (#7 Pop) written and produced by L.A., Babyface, Daryl Simmons with Kayo on bass their formula was to be unmatched.

The rest as they say “is history”! Currently The Deele has been taking the stage with multiple successful shows bringing Deele favorites as well as hits they had a hand in making to fans around the world. With original members, Dee, Kayo & Sticq, and the newest addition to the group, Oui, The Deele is delivering a musical success story that could only be delivered on stage. This is one show that you do not want to miss.
