The self-styled Saxophone Samurai WEX The Master comes through with a new single titled “GRAY SKY BKUE SKY”
The track is a self-reflection of some sort as WEX takes ample time to unveil the highs and lows that come with just being alive. Bolstered by a smooth jazzy backdrop ripe with lush keys, horns, and a punchy drum break, the track oozes pure nostalgia for hip-hop lovers. - WORD IS BOND

WEX! the Master emerged from humble origins in Miami. He has since moved around South Florida, experiencing what this vibrant environment has to offer. WEX started his musical journey in middle school with the trumpet and moved on to the saxophone in high school. Musical prowess came easily for WEX, quickly getting a grasp of, and excelling in, all of his musical pursuits. “I knew it was for me, first thing in life I was actually good at, I just had a natural gift— I disciplined my life around it.” WEX’s musical influences hail from different time eras & include saxophonists from the Hard Bop era such as John Coltrane, Sunny Rollins, and Stanley Turrentine, to virtuoso lyricists such as MF Doom, Black Thought, Zack de la Rocha, & Redman. “I try to rap like a horn. I try to articulate my raps like a horn player.” WEX’s musical talents reflect an ambitious individual who is passionate for music and its intricate nuances through his rapid yet fluid lyricism, rugged individual voice, in addition to an employment of the saxophone which leaves on in awe. The saxophone samurai slices through musical passages with pure passion. Ever training in the dojo, focusing ki, he moves forward like a gust of wind with a punch of steel.
