"Bobby Capri Talks "Remote Viewing" Collaborations, Inspiration, and Vision in an Exclusive GMAD Interview"

GMAD sits down with Bobby Capri for an exclusive interview. The Virginia native dropped his debut album, 'Remote Viewing,' today and this 9-track LP features Leah Delgado, Freddie Gibbs, and Michael Christmas. "'Remote Viewing'...the short definition is "sensing with the mind," says Bobby Capri in an exclusive Gmad Interview. "It's aiming for a target that isn't visible. Which to me, ties into the law of attraction; which I'm big on."

Since dropping the lead single and Freddie Gibbs assisted-cut 'Make Moves' last Winter, Bobby Capri set his sights for 'Remote Viewing' to be his biggest, yet most personal material to date. Bobby Capri harnesses his own experiences as a lyrically conscious story-teller with relatable material. While he may not have had a vision going into the album, the music is inspired by his status as an underdog with legitimate cross-over potential. "A lot of my music has the same theme to it," says Bobby Capri. He continues, "There is a lot of hunger and ambition. A lot of over coming adversity."

An inherently cohesive project as well, the rapper balances his approach through these life lessons. Not only does 'Remote Viewing' lend advice about being an individual and staying positive, but also the songs are catchy. 'Remote Viewing' is executlvely produced by industry veterans Dean Page & Doc Ock where Bobby Capri prospers over raw hip-hop vibes. The evocative sounds, from hip-hop's golden era, is refreshing, and has the potential to be Bobby Capri's coming of age album that puts his name on the map.

Bobby Capri says 'Make Moves' featuring Freddie Gibbs may be the 'Remote Viewing' song that he is most proud of. "I think my favorite song on 'Remote Viewing' is 'Make Moves' because it's how I feel in a nutshell," says Bobby Capri. "In the hook I say "I'd rather ask you forgive me, than to ask you to give me. Cause I ain't got the time to wait around for the answer that your ass gon give me...the moment can be over that quickly," continues Bobby. "I'd rather ask forgiveness than permission." Other songs like 'Absolute Hero' featuring Leah Delgado, 'Never Fall Short' featuring Michael Christmas, and 'Gucci Loafers' are highlights for 'Remote Viewing' that all together has a live music trajectory.

With the release of 'Remote Viewing' it is evident that Bobby Capri is a self-confident rapper who hopes to convert passion into power. A release that's perfect for zoning out to, his humble perspectives and focused raps illustrate the determination of an up and coming rapper whose music will motivate its listeners. In our exclusive interview, Bobby Capri discusses the naming of his debut album, his musical upbringing, and the inspiration behind 'Remote Viewing.' He also shares insight into his life beyond rapping before using choice words to tell us his vision for the next five years. "This question is always hard for me, says Bobby Capri. "It's hard to say "where" I'll be. All I know for certain is, I will be 5 years smarter and 5 years better than I am at this moment."

"Bobby Capri Impresses with “Gucci Loafers”"

Bobby Capri is the Virginia based rapper that has recently released “Gucci Loafers,” and while the name isn’t quite a common household name yet, he’s definitely someone to keep an eye out on in the coming months.

The track brings a sense of nostalgia (it’ll be easy to see why upon the first bar), and with a simple hip hop beat, he keeps it classic, cool, and simple, leaving us with his heavy rhymes and dope style. While a lot of hip hop artists rely on weird antics and flash to bring hype to their music, Bobby Capri definitely doesn’t have to. This song easily speaks for itself and with so manny rappers coming forth these days, it’s definitely going to be a plus for him to be so lyric heavy.

The track is available for a free download via Audiomack, as well as in our track embed below. Check it out! - Earmilk

Bio

Virginia rapper Bobby Capri, signed to Heavy Green, has been making waves in the underground hip-hop scene for the past 2 years, and is now making the transition to the college market.  With 2 EP releases charting on CMJ's Top 10 Hip Hop Albums Chart this year, Pri is currently touring and preparing his first album "Natural Selection".

His most recent EP "Remote Viewing" showcases his talent with hard hitting singles such as "Make Moves" featuring Freddie Gibbs, "Gucci Loafers", and "Never Fall Short" with an assist from Michael Christmas.  His witty play on words and creative songwriting have been the driving force in his journey for success.

With the viral success such of "Rents Due" and "Tunnel Vision," Bobby admits that his philosophy is to give music to the fans in building a long-term relationship.  "I love giving it away.  Ill get money on shows and merchandise.  The music speaks for itself, as people respect talent.  I think that helped build the buzz that I have.  How many times will somebody at a gas station try to sell you a CD for $5.  If they cant sell it, you never hear it, and what good does that do?", says Capri.

"Instant Gratification" continued Bobby Capri's focus on theme.  "I'm big on enjoying every moment you get.  The future is imaginary; tomorrow doesn't exist.  The whole concept is to do what makes you happy.  That doesn't mean be stupid, it means do what you love."  On stage and in the studio, Bobby Capri's love shines through his art.
