"Listen to BradleyCLT"

Listen to Names by BradleyCLT on BTRU Entertainment. Up and coming emcee 'BradleyCLT' ran across our radar today on Soundcloud and we were happy to be introduced to his music. BradleyCLT is no mere musician but more of a creative activist who speaks on meaningful topics using his platform to spread his messages. His new song enlists the help of fellow recording artist 'NiGe Hood' who does a great job of delivering some lyrical tenacity to the song in his verse. The two together speak on life 'back in the days' how people switch up and show you love based on your name. You can stream new songs from BradleyCLT by connecting with him on Soundcloud. - JUSS RUSS RADIO

"BradleyCLT is Counting Every Step"

BradleyCLT Is Counting Every Victory As A Step Toward Success

“For other artists I say don’t let anyone steer you away from your goals, small or big.”

Check out the interview with BradleyCLT exclusively on Skilly Magazine Online.

Skilly: Tell us where this all began. What is your history in the music scene?
BradleyCLT: I started under name Jay Sinatra at 15. I was inspired Pac, Jay Z, and Lil Wayne. I wanted to be a NBA player and never wanted to rap, but the love for music took over after I stopped playing ball. Coming from a musical family it was easy to make the transition. I would rap at my high school every Friday against other rappers for fun and started to build a new audience; that’s when I knew I wanted to pursue a career

What are the best ways to promote yourself as an artist? Any tips you can give us?
Ways to promote yourself are online marketing, campaigns, and good management or self-management. Slowly but surely be consistent and just take it step by step.

What do you ultimately want to become in your career?
I always wanted to be an underground king and make people feel good and inspire them like I used to get inspired by music. I have great intent on being an entrepreneur with multiple channels of income, but at the end of the day I just want to be myself.

What is the hardest thing about being in the music business?
People are fake at times and it feels like you can’t trust anyone except your immediate family/friends. It can be a dirty game.

What is it like in your city? What is the music scene like, and how is it like living there overall?
Charlotte is next up for sure. It’s like a weird mix of deep southern and trap influence with a big alternative 90’s vibe. It’s pretty cool living here. The music scene itself has a lot of different things to offer. Uptown is more of the club scene, the North Davidson area is full of art and hipster hangouts, and the strip clubs out here get turnt.

What are some of advice you can give and share to other artists who are still trying to come up?
For other artists I say don’t let anyone steer you away from your goals, small or big. One of good friends once told me, “You have to count your small wins.”

What is the best thing that’s ever happened in your career?
The best thing that happened to me was breaking out of the box I used to put myself in. I used to want be like other rappers, but I don’t want to be like any of them now. I want to make my own lane.

What is your inspiration?
What motives and inspires me the most is family, everyday life, real life and real situations. They help me craft new ideas and allow me to grow as an artist.

Do you feel anyone can be successful now in today’s world of music?
Unfortunately yes. Not to knock anybody’s hustle, but I think there are people with a lot of talent that lost their chance because people with less talent are being put in the spotlight. That can be frustrating to those really grinding.
