A Rio Grande Valley native born Mexican-American, Jonathan Silva De Leon grew up in between two worlds: his family’s deep ties to Mexican Tejano music and the years he spent soaking up modern Electronic Dance Music.

Jonathan Silva De Leon (A.K.A BRSKI) got his start in the music industry DJing, and producing in 2013 as an average high school teenager looking for something fun to do after spending numerous years learning how to play, and playing live instruments varying from the Saxophone all the way to Percussion.

What started off as a way to entertain himself and kill some time quickly grew into something much more serious and passionate.

After performing his first live set at an high school homecoming he then realized in those moments seeing the happiness in everyone’s face that this is what he wanted to set out to do for the rest of his life, and that he would be better off furthering his education learning the process of recording, mixing, and mastering music rather than setting out to get a degree leading to a regular nine to five job so that’s exactly what he set out to do. For the next four years his spent countless hours in his home studio learning the gear he had readily available, and constantly honing his craft.

In 2015 upon graduating high school he decided to then take possibly the biggest leap of his life and joined the United States Military to help secure having a further education. Since joining the military he’s traveled everywhere ranging from the east coast in Northern Carolina to places in the west coast such as Southern California using all his experiences towards growing just a musician, but more importantly a person as well. While serving his time, and constantly facing challenges that occur with his unhinged lifestyle he manages to constantly hone his sound, branding, and business marketing skills by attending schooling through educational organizations such as Digital DJ Tips, Crossfader, Defyre Society, and Hyperbits Music. Now that his time in service is ending he plan’s to further pursue is music production journey, and education full time by attending Icon Collective in Los Angeles, California in the upcoming year of 2020.

Through his deep connections with places visited, and especially people met (Kansas City, MO being the most important) independent artist Jonathan Silva De Leon (BRSKI) has became greatly infatuated with the culture of each one of which now ties greatly with every performance, and now music production career. Through this he plan’s to help bring light what other creatives and innovators are doing all around the world. The main goal of “BRSKI” is to inspire creativity, innovation, and drive for all those wild like minded dreamers out there, and that no path towards achieving true happiness is a wrong path. No matter how long, or difficult it may be.

In moving forward, Jonathan Silva De Leon believes that as long as his remains authentic, and genuine to himself that he will never have limits in terms of creativity, and creating music. Creating and innovating is solely his purpose in life, and aims to push the music culture forward  in a positive direction and to inspire along the way.
